Robert P. Regnery - Director
Experience
Mr. Regnery has more than eighteen years of experience in public accounting and five years of experience in industry working for both private and public companies. Prior to forming RPR Partners, LLP in September of 2000, Mr. Regnery was a partner with the local CPA firm of Peterson & Co. There he was in charge of both the Real Estate Group and the Entrepreneurial Services Group, where he was directly responsible for idea generation and other tax planning matters. Prior to Mr. Regnery's being a partner at Peterson & Company, Mr. Regnery was a Senior Manager and one of two Tax Services Coordinators in charge of managing half of the tax practice for the San Diego office of the Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group, a Division of Ernst & Young. Although he practiced in all areas of taxation, his emphasis was in real estate and idea implementation. His experience dealing with his clients both inside and outside the real estate industry covered all aspects of tax, audit, and tax consulting which is the foundation in helping create our firm, RPR Partners, LLP.
At RPR Partners, LLP, Mr. Regnery focuses his time and attention primarily to helping his real estate and entrepreneurial clients take advantage of the ever-changing tax laws and other opportunities including tax consulting and strategic planning services. His primary focus is to provide the necessary assistance to his clients so they can initiate and accomplish their objectives in the most efficient manner possible while obtaining the greatest tax and economic results. He plays an integral role in all structuring and restructuring of entities and specific business transactions. His innovative ideas have enable clients to reduce or defer taxes, while at the same time meeting the economic and personal objectives of the client. Mr. Regnery is highly involved in the initial planning and implementation phases of any transaction. He also reviews applicable legal documents and provides comments to facilitate the client's ultimate goals and analyzes the present and future value of all transactions. After the initial phases are over, he continues to monitor the situation from his frequent interface with the client, and when the time is appropriate, begins the exit strategy so that it provides the best flexibility and tax results for the owners. He has done this time and time again and as a result, has been helping his clients grow and expand into the companies that they want to be.
Professional Activities
Mr. Regnery's professional activities include involvement in various organizations to help educate children. He currently resides in North County and has been a Board of Director Member with the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Diego.

Kenneth R. Van Damme II - Director
Experience
Mr. Van Damme has over seventeen years of public accounting experience and is a director and co-founder of RPR Partners, LLP in San Diego. Prior to founding RPR Partners, LLP, Mr. Van Damme worked eight years at Ernst & Young, an international accounting firm. At Ernst & Young, Mr. Van Damme specialized in the real estate industry and was a member of the firm’s highly specialized real estate group. Mr. Van Damme accepted several leadership positions at Ernst & Young, including the role of practice area leader for the Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Phoenix real estate tax compliance practices.
Mr. Van Damme has served as an advisor for many real estate companies ranging in size from local operators to large public institutions. His experience has extended over many types of real estate companies including developers, homebuilders, hotels, REITs, portfolio funds and construction contractors. As such, Mr. Van Damme has extensive tax consulting experience with structuring real estate and company transactions, as well as tax planning for the high net worth individuals who own and control the real estate companies.
At RPR Partners, LLP, Mr. Van Damme specializes in providing clients with innovative and new ideas in order to meet the clients' overall economic and personal goals, such as §1031 structuring, installment sales, options, cost segregation studies, capital gain planning, estate planning, and more. His experience includes extensive partnership and corporate tax planning coordinated with estate and gift structuring. Mr. Van Damme takes an active role in structuring specific business transactions, reviewing the applicable legal documents, and analyzing the overall financial impact of the transactions for the present and future.
Professional Activities
Mr. Van Damme proudly serves on the board of Directors and is the Chief Financial Officer for the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation of San Diego. Mr. Van Damme is also a member of the San Diego chapter of the Building Industry Association, and was a former director for the BIA's Commercial Industrial Council. In addition, Mr. Van Damme formerly taught Finance 435: Investment in Real Estate, at San Diego State University for two years.
